Will it work on my hotel room door?

Yes. It works on any inward-opening door with a gap of 0.5″ to 1.2″ between the floor and the bottom of the door — covering the vast majority of hotel rooms, dorms, Airbnbs, and apartments. Place it under the door before switching it on to make sure it wedges snugly.

Will it go off by accident in the night?

Not if you use the sensitivity dial correctly. Set it to Low in rooms with drafts or vibrating A/C units, and Medium or High in quieter spaces. Once dialed in, it only fires when the door is physically pushed — not from sounds, movement, or passing footsteps.

How loud is 120dB, really?

It's the same level as a chainsaw or a jet aircraft at 1,000 feet. In a quiet hotel hallway at 2 a.m., it's audible up to 1,500 feet away. You will hear it. Everyone on your floor will hear it. That is the entire point.

What battery does it use?
